The Friends of the Front Range Wildlife Refuges depends on support from individuals, businesses, government organizations, and the community in order provide resources to Rocky Mountain Arsenal and Rocky Flats National Wildlife Refuges. Your contributions directly support the operations of the Refuges including environmental education, habitat restoration, and support of black-footed ferrets, eagles, bison and all of the wildlife at our Refuges.
The mission of FFRWR is to support and promote the Rocky Mountain National Wildlife Refuge and Rocky Flats National Wildlife Refuge in their efforts to conserve and restore native habitat and wildlife, as well as to provide meaningful opportunities for the public to experience wildlife and nature near a major metropolitan area. - Make a direct transfer from your checking or savings account by setting up a weekly or monthly donation.
- Make a gift of appreciated stock. If a gift of stock is made directly to Friends of the Front Range Wildlife Refuges, any capital gain in the value of the stock is not taxed and we receive the full value of the stock at the time of donation. Contact your accountant for details.
- Make a gift from your IRA, if you are over 70 ½ years of age, you can make a gift directly to Friends of the Front Range Wildlife Refuges from your IRA. The IRS allows the direct contribution of up to $100,000 per year from an IRA to qualified organizations like Friends of the Front Range Wildlife Refuges. Contact your accountant for details.
The lands at Rocky Mountain Arsenal and Rocky Flats National Wildlife Refuges are managed and owned by the federal government and federal regulations and restrictions may apply for acknowledgement of donations. All financial gifts to the Friends of the Front Range Wildlife Refuges are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law.
